Product Description

This intensive advanced hands-on training program will cover how all lasers work, including the physics of lasers for IPL, C02 Fractional, Diode, Q-Switch ND-YAG (picosure, picosecond, picowave), and Teeth Whitening Lasers. This course will cover the most used dermatologic lasers and their parameters. An overview of skin and hair’s anatomy and physiology, parameters for permanent hair reduction, photo facial, vascular and pigmented lesions, and tattoo removal will be an essential part of the course.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this program, the successful student will have reliably demonstrated the ability to:

  • Demonstrate prerequisite knowledge in scenario settings
  • Define and explain advanced laser procedures
  • Describe the role and definition of skin tightening, pigmentation removal, spider vein removal, and hair removal
  • Apply advanced theoretical laser concepts to practical training scenarios and physical settings
  • Critically assess laser parameters for each laser studied, including their: wavelength, pulse duration, spot size, energy settings
  • Perform skin typing and fluency selection for each laser studied
  • Evaluate and apply client consultation, patient observation, equipment testing and maintenance
  • Perform advanced IPL, diode, ND-YAG, and teeth whitening laser procedures on clients
  • Understand and perform sanitation and disinfectant procedures
  • Apply specific theoretical perspectives in order to explain how laser treatments and procedures progress and are maintained over time
  • Develop and conduct client consultation, patient observation, and after-care procedure plans
  • Identify and make connections to assigned textbook readings to the larger paradigms within the laser industry
